Minor Evaluation:
I could not use the draft of my front cover due to the page layout of it. As magazine front covers are portrait and not landscape. Even though you can clearly tell that me Photoshop skills have clearly developed when looking at my 1st draft and to this draft. I have learnt how to photoshop photos professionally e.g. air brush them and changing the eye colour e.c.t. I have also learnt how to use different effects e.g. drop shadow, opacity, changing the font sizes and stretching them, which i a conventional feature many magazine front covers take the form of.
Also my knowledge on how to layout a magazine professionally has developed, this is shown through my use of tag-lines, main cover image, different font sizes and colours. I conventionally used a close up image for my cover image as many front covers use it. My photo was inspired by the issue of 'X-Mag' with Madonna on the front page, in which my model poses similarly. I have also used the conventional indie/rock colour palette, this addresses my audience directly.
